4.3.3 Objectives and programs
The organization shall establish, implement and maintain documented occupational health and safety objectives within its relevant functions and levels.
Where feasible, the objectives should be measurable and consistent with the OH & S policy, including injury and disease prevention, continuous improvement and compliance with applicable laws, regulations and other requirements.
In establishing and reviewing OH & S objectives, organizations should take into account legal, regulatory and other requirements, as well as their own OH & S risks. Consideration should also be given to alternative technical options, financial, operational and operational requirements, and related perspectives.
The organization shall establish, implement and maintain one or more options for achieving its objectives, which shall include:
A) define the responsibilities and authority to achieve the objectives in the relevant functions and levels of the organization;
B) Methodologies and timetables for achieving objectives.
The organization shall review the program at appropriate planning intervals and, if necessary, adjust to ensure that the objectives are achieved.
