According to ISO official website news, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) on September 23, 2015 officially released the ISO9001: 2015 new standard. Declaring the third generation of management standards as the times come. The new version of the standard than the previous version of the huge changes.
ISO 9001 - the world's most widely adopted quality management system standard, has benefited millions of organizations worldwide. Accelerate growth, increase efficiency, increase customer satisfaction and retention - a benefit that companies can experience with ISO 9001.
The standard has undergone a major revision for the first time since 2000 and incorporates changes based on global user and expert feedback. At the same time, the terms defined in ISO 9000 that are essential for understanding ISO 9001 have been revised, and this standard was released at the same time as ISO 9001 on September 23rd.
Since 2000, the way we do business has changed dramatically. We have instant access to information, higher expectations for the organization we work for, and we have to deal with more complex supply chains and a competitive global economy. The revision of ISO 9001: 2015 takes full account of these factors. Some important changes include:
• Greater emphasis on building management systems appropriate to the specific needs of individual organizations
• Involve the senior management of the organization to take an active part in and take responsibility for aligning quality management with a broader business strategy
• Risk-based holistic approach to standards, making the overall management system a preventative tool and encouraging continuous improvement
• Documented specification requirements are simplified, and organizations can now determine the documentation they need and the document formats that should be used
• Consistent with other key management system standards through the use of common structures and core texts. Time-to-market The progress of the revision of the ISO 9001: 2015 standard has been a constant focus.
Here are a few key time nodes:
1, May 2015 ISO 9001: 2015 DIS release;
